I Like What I Like Stamp by racingwolf I Like What I Like Stamp by racingwolf
This stamp was originally going to say "I don't care if what I like is popular or unpopular", but that wouldn't fit. I know there are other stamps out there like this, but there can never be enough of them IMO. Plus, I had things to say.

This was inspired by the overused and underused pokemon debates on Serebii and Pe2k, but it can apply to anything.

Liking something even though it's unpopular is pretty self-explanitory. There's no reason to stop liking something even though not many other people do. Simple.

I have more to say on liking things that are popular. Personally, I do not see why popularity should affect my (or anyone else's) opinion of something any more than unpopularity does. Hating popular things does not make one unique, for people who do that are doing the exact same thing as those who like things only because they are popular; they are basing their likes and dislikes on popularity.

I do not care how many people like something, or how many pictures there are of it on DA. These things have nothing to do with me. If they were to annoy me, I'd simply ignore them and go on my way, doing my own thing, whether I were drawing or writing about that subject or not. I do not feel that turning my back on popular things would make me more of an individual; quite the contrary, it would just mean I was letting my opinion be influenced by outside factors that shouldn't matter.

I do not believe popularity (or lack of) should affect YOUR OWN opinion. Like what YOU like, and forget labels and stigmas.

Anyone who feels this way may use this stamp.

And if you want to like popular music/wolves/sparkledogs/eevee evolutions/whatever else, go ahead!

I like what I like. I don't worry about the fact that Katy Perry is popular - I still love her music because it's catchy. I also don't mind that I read old, obscure fairy tales for my own enjoyment even though not many other people do. I don't care if I'm the only person drawing some random fairy tale from Andrew Lang's Fairy Books - if I liked the story a lot, I want to illustrate it. I wouldn't want to illustrate something I genuinely dislike that just happens to have a lot of dA pictures. I have no interest in drawing serious MLP art because that doesn't interest me. The only MLP art I've put on is mainly joke stuff.

That's exactly how it should be, just doing the things you like.

I like One direction because they write all their music and because they are of all the popular pop groups out today the nicest. I like My little Pony as well because I owned a talking barn with two toy ponies and a couple of storybooks (these have nothing to do with mlp),one of those ponies "Bubbles" somehow became a accidental my little pony in the show and became "Derpy Hooves" I prefer the name she had with those story books more though.

I agree. I really wish people would stop with the "stop liking what I don't like" and "your opinions are wrong" nonsense. I don't see why people feel the need to foam at the mouth because I find some kind of enjoyment in the Ruby-Spears Mega Man series. Yeah it's mediocre but it's not necessary to flip your shit over it.

It's okay to not like things but don't be a dick about it.
