This stamp was originally going to say "I don't care if what I like is popular or unpopular", but that wouldn't fit. I know there are other stamps out there like this, but there can never be enough of them IMO. Plus, I had things to say.
This was inspired by the overused and underused pokemon debates on Serebii and Pe2k, but it can apply to anything.
Liking something even though it's unpopular is pretty self-explanitory. There's no reason to stop liking something even though not many other people do. Simple.
I have more to say on liking things that are popular. Personally, I do not see why popularity should affect my (or anyone else's) opinion of something any more than unpopularity does. Hating popular things does not make one unique, for people who do that are doing the exact same thing as those who like things only because they are popular; they are basing their likes and dislikes on popularity.
I do not care how many people like something, or how many pictures there are of it on DA. These things have nothing to do with me. If they were to annoy me, I'd simply ignore them and go on my way, doing my own thing, whether I were drawing or writing about that subject or not. I do not feel that turning my back on popular things would make me more of an individual; quite the contrary, it would just mean I was letting my opinion be influenced by outside factors that shouldn't matter.
I do not believe popularity (or lack of) should affect YOUR OWN opinion. Like what YOU like, and forget labels and stigmas.
Anyone who feels this way may use this stamp.
And if you want to like popular music/wolves/sparkledogs/eevee evolutions/whatever else, go ahead!
Thanks. My thoughts exactly. Years before my parents allowed me on the internet, i have had an interest in wolves, and some idiotic fanbase isn't gonna stop that.
I agree 100%: we can make NO ONE love people hate or make NO ONE hate people love: NO ONE has a bad taste: every taste is good with something. I am not a Brony and I don't watch MLP (I don't have enough free time), BUT: I love "Annoying Orange", "Kick Buttowski Suburbian Daredevil" and "Dr. Seuss' The Lorax" and DON'T WANT TO MAKE YOU LOVE what I LOVE. If you HATE something, it doesn't mean EVERYONE HATES it! Just keep silent and talk about what you LIKE or LOVE... As I say, "Those who is quiet, survive", so, it's YOUR OPINION, like what YOU like, but don't make anyone HATE they LOVE so much! Too many words? Okay. I will finish my message.
I really don't like it when, for example, I write the articles about Kick Buttowski and everyone in comments writes something like this: "Kick Buttowski is stupid! He is ugly and not funny at all". Thanks for that: I like it when people agree with me!
